Well, my trebuchets axle is a hollow steel bar, with a solid iron bar in the center. Can hold up to 400-500 pounds.
I'd love to get a few of those tractor wieghts, that would really make my treb launch a lot further.

those are iron counterweights from an old ford tractor. thanks for watching!

Wow, how much did they weigh? Looks like they weigh at least 50 pounds!

altogether they weighed 300 lbs. that's why our axel bar bent. we're trying to find something stiffer than an inch thick steel bar. our farthest launch was 137 ft.
