This little piece of ear candy has soaring guitars and vocals! Also recorded from my vinyl copy of their 1989 LP "Stoked". Todd Novak on guitars and vocals, Pete Linzell on saxes and guitars, Dan Acker on bass and Chris Johns on drums.

  • @manjothegreat yeah, love the lyrics to Waikiki...got to cause I'm a big Beach Boys fan...LOL...check out my page cause I just posted it!

  • I quit my day job, I grabbed my surfboard & I was gone! Waikiki!

  • @manjothegreat LOL! I was trying to decide on the next one and that was one I was leaning toward...so that's two votes for W.a.i.k.i.k.i! Will post it asap!

  • Thanks! Love CT and the Raspberries. 22 years ago, man. Is W.a.i.k.i.k.i. next?

  • @manjothegreat Hey Todd, love your voice and guitar on this upbeat tune and that opening drumroll...puts a smile on my face everytime! I might re-record it though because there is some distortion on the vocals. And yeah it is pure power pop...it holds up to anything by the Raspberrys or Cheap Trick imho!

  • when you're on a major label you have to sing a few, even if you are a surf -garage band. Power pop.
