We Are All Related - Evolution Of Humans

Our Primate Cousins. This is a video about human life. For billions of years life has evolved through the evolution process. Species have adapted to change over this long period. Man is the very obvious relative to the very intelligent primate. Just look at their faces and you will be able to pick their nationality. Japanese, African, Chinese, European, Indian, Australian Aboriginals. It is so clear. You just have to open your eyes and realize how much they are us. We are simply them millions of years down the track. As humans our minds are very ignorant and we tend to think that we are so much more special then animals, when in fact we are also animals. Just because we don't share the same language and look identical we discriminate other animals because our minds have evolved in this way.

Humans belong to the taxonomic Order Primates, which is comprised of 11 Families, 52 Genera, & 181 species. Primates are divided into two main groups: Prosimians (literally "before monkeys/apes) and Anthropoids (literally "man like"). The evolution of primates is characterized by trends toward mobile limbs, grasping hands, a flattened face, binocular vision, a large, complex brain, & a reduced reproductive rate. Most Primates are well adapted to arboreal living (living in trees).

Primate evolution occurred primarily during the Cenozoic Era, Prosimians first branching off in the early Eocene Epoch 58 mya (million years ago).

Around 33 mya, during the Oligocene Epoch, the Anthropoids split off into 3 main groups: New World Monkeys (w/prehensile tails), Old World Monkeys (w/out prehensile tails), & the Hominoids (eventual Apes & Humans w/out any tails).

In the Miocene Epoch, around 15 mya, Asian Apes & African Apes diverged paths. At approx. 6 mya, African Apes & Human lineage split, producing Hominids (members of the taxonomic Human Family Hominidae) in a region of Central Africa called the Great Rift Valley. There, dense jungle gave way to great savannah plains, & bipedalism became a helpful adaptation in surviving in a high grass environment w/a variety of predators.

To this day, Chimpanzees & Humans share 98.5% of the same DNA sequences, even though millions of years separate us from a common ancestor. The evidence for evolution has been found within the fossil record. Additional corroboration has been found comparing DNA sequences which show dramatic linkages between all modern primate species. A comparative study of mitochondrial DNA shows that the differences among present human populations are consistent w/their having a common ancestor no more than a million years ago.

I'm a PROUD African APE. We share the same ancestor with ALL life on the planet...and we share the same ancestor with all mammals including APES, our closest cousins. Beautiful video. @GeneticallySuperior1: I agree that it's ridiculous to speculate that the next species in the human line will be some gray looking thing. But everything else you've said is very unfortunate. There is no "anthropoid chain", and there are no separate human races. If Homo neanderthalensis were still around today, then there would be two human races: H. sapiens and H. neanderthalensis. But 'blacks', 'caucasians', 'mongoloids' are not separate races. They are ways of categorizing people by geography.

@FR3DKRU3G3R It's not upsetting, however, this theory is incomplete. It doesn't say WHY DID THIS HAPPENED? WHEN DID THIS HAPPENED? & WHY IT'S NOT HAPPENING ANYMORE? (I mean the transformation) Moreover, The right question is what are we; even if we were animals, what are animals? How are they created? Are we some kind of an energy in this body? Are we in some kind of a mission? Did the creator really sent "Torah", "Bible", and "QURAN"? Did the Prophets lie? Were they super Genius? The Guides..

@psychosocialmarc Yeah, it's that kinda hate that destroy our world not our beliefs. Because you refuse to let us live you cause hate. Athiest or not you obviously hate us, Religion of whatever don't think you perfect just because you belief something others don't. If human kind just accepts eachother we'll be in peace as long as people like you exist to encourage innocent hate your a part of the death of this world.

You know whales, I don't think that land mammals evolved to them, I think it's the other way around, like fish to whale to seal to what ever. We evolved the same way as the reptiles did but had lee opportunities at the time of the dinos. Now we are dominating so much that the economy is gonna crash and the world ends for us as for we r like the dinosaurs

I actually believe 90% of that accept for the part that we evolve from chimps and oranges. There was a beginning and it spread out like a tree. We are only related to the other apes ancestors which are our ancestors because we are apes too. But we humans evolve to look more sexier and think beyond the opportunities.
