Flickering laptop screen

My mother's laptop started doing this after we got it. The laptop is an Acer Aspire AS5100-3825. I believe that this is a hardware issue since I have reinstalled the drivers multiple times and even the OS to no avail.
**UPDATE**
I had completely forgotten about this video, but the problem has been solved. It was a driver issue. The computer was starting to act funky back in Janurary so I set up xp and ubuntu in dual boot. I started configuring ubuntu first and it nevr once showed signs of this problem.I redownloaded the driver from ATI's site and applied it. I am not sure as to why it works now, I got the drivers from the same location on the site and installed it the same as the many times before.
****UPDATE****
I have since installed the Windows 7 RC on her computer and it is functioning perfectly fine. I can only assume that there was a problem with the drivers available at that time. The current version of the video drivers appear to be free of this problem.

acer sucks. Mine came with a recalled graphics chip. Xo which means i can't play video games. its dumb. My inverter is going bad too so my screen flickers when i move it.

you va got a video problen take mother board out aand do a reflow with a industrial heat gun & flux or else dump it in garabage or replace mother Board

i had the same problem try to vacum the air fan sometimes it's dusty and makes your screen flickering and blinking just like in your video after i vacumed the air fan area my pc was working just fine

mine just terns into a white screen if i tilt screen any one have any subjection

my screen turns black like it is off and it is not and its just the screen on my computer i have to cut off the screen then turn is back on for it to stop but it keeps happening i was wondering if anybody knows what the problem is its not a laptop its a desktop. If anybody could help me that would be great thx.
