Buteyko Celebrates 20 years of success in Australia

The Buteyko breathing programme has enabled thousands of Australians to reduce asthma symptoms and enjoy the benefits of improved sleep.

2010 celebrates 20 years that this Breathing Method has been taught in Australia.
The first clinical trial of the method outside of Russia was held in Australia, published in the Medical Journal of Australia 1998, showed an average reduction of 96% in asthma reliever medications such as Ventolin and a 49 % average reduction in preventer medication.
A further seven trials have been published internationally, all have demonstrated similar reductions in medication and symptom relief.
In the last ten years people with sleep apnoea are turning to Buteyko Breathing Training to improve sleep and gain relief from fatigue and lack of energy that this condition causes.
