Final Project for VEF. Team members were Douglas Arley, Casy Kovach, Denny Maliakal, and Joseph Chambers.
We knew people were going to point out the fur but hair/fur was part of the requirements, so we did what we had to do while trying to stay as true to the original as we could.
We only had 1 week for the entire project, really, and it was required that we have models, lit, and textured, as well as all the required effects (hair/fur, softbodies, fliuids). That being said, we had enough work load modelling the environment / texturing the whole environment, setting up the storyboards and the camera cuts, and translating (moving) the character...which really didn't want to work tell with the fur. We REALLY didn't have the time OR resources to rig, weight, and animate the model itself (contrary to popular belief it's not really all that easy), which is why nothing moves other than what's effect by the forces.

Doug Arley: Environment designed, modeled, textured, and lit. Particle dust cloud effect. Scene finishing. Video editing. Credits sequence.
Denny Maliakal: Fluid puddle & particle splash.
Joseph Chambers: Soft body plant simulation. Model & textured, & rigged soft body plants.
