I am an importer, broker for buyers and the sellers and a licensed bonded auctioneer in different states since 1974 trading in scarce and I mean breath taking Persian rugs, living in Bethesda, Md. which is about eight miles north west of the white House since my high school days (BCC) in 1969.
I am a massive part of my enterprise because I love to learn about people with awesome taste who recognize to appreciate the hard work, the patience, the passion and the commitment of those weavers who I loved and I remember, witnessing them do these heirlooms for my mother during my child hood in Iran, those interactions and negotiations were the fountain for my learning of the human inner part and the foundation of my skills today.
But wait not so fast my practice is a four generation carriage trade linked to my mother's grandmother who traveled over one hundred years ago from Kashan to Tehran selling a rug her weavers made getting 300 toomans for which landed at Christies in New York on April 8, 1999 catalog #173 estimated price between $35,000.00 to $45,000.00
