It has flush fret markers, but is fretless. This banjo is strung with Nylgut brand strings; this very same banjo was already recorded with its stock steel strings.

  • Hey nice Playing,

Where can one get those nylgut strings, on the net?

    Thank you!

  • Well, the place that comes to mind is *ahem* my shop. :-) Tollfree: 919.866.5189

  • I can't post a URL here, but pasting nothing but this number in your browser's address bar should get you to my website:

    3333291563

This works with Firefox, IE, and Opera. Chrome asks if you meant to go to the expanded IP address (yes, of course, just click on it), and Safari chokes.

  • where can i find the tabs to this song? i've been looking for a while.

  • I have teaching tab I will happily send you. Please email me at zepp at zeppmusic. (Sure wish this thing would accept email addresses and URLs!)

  • I've been looking for a tab for a while but haven't been able to find one. Any chance you could point me in the right direction?

  • I'm not sure where you mean...maybe there's a tuning issue (as I'm not using the 2nd fret in the A part).

Regardless, I guess the only explanation is that this is how I play it...dunno how anyone else does. :-)

  • In a tab I've seen it says to hammer on to the fifth fret from the second but it looks like you stay at the second fret ... can you explain? Thanks.

  • thats horseshit. such a silly superstition. a hobo wud nvr be able to afford a banjo

  • yeah thats pretty right on when i watch your stuff i usually jump on the 5 string and the tunes just churn out.

  • That's awesome! The banjo has very nice sound
