This is an HD video shot from a helmet-mounted ContourHD at 1280x720p @ 30 Hz. It has been composited with GPS information from an Edge 305 and power/HR/cadence from a PowerTap. The bike route was a descent on Highway 84 to Woodside. The speed is low because of the damp conditions.

  • hello , would you know if the info from the contourGPS will work on this software please?

  • @bhelpurii

With ContourGPS the GPS information is embedded in the video file. There are tools available to extract that GPS information and write it to a standard GPS file format. Once you do this you can generate the overlays, and then combine them back with the video in your editing suite. The start times of the video and the overlays will sync up perfectly.

  • Is MPH changable, to KMH ?

  • @Fast4Music Yeah, the stats can be changed to metric. We're working on more options to customize the stats according to the available data (not everyone has a power meter) and to the user's preferences.

Yes, I use the cheap consumer version of Sony Vegas to combine the two together. Any video editing suite should be capable of adding image overlays to a video though.

  • Extra question. The website mentions Sony Vegas. Is that what you use to combine the video with the telemetry?

  • @realukbloke Thanks for the info and no need to apologise. Any response is welcome :)

  • @grobbo1961 The software is called Bike Telemetry, and there's a web site with that name. They have a beta trial and you can try it out for free. Sorry for not replying sooner - I hadn't checked for messages in a while.
