you must feel for boris, that last piece of vision of him at the board is terribly sad for him, what is even more sad i think, is that 1972 saw the last of the real genuine human chess players , i love both of these guys, i always will

@garlic555 - Why does anyone that has proven they are the best over and over, quit? What's left to prove? His whole life was absorbed in *only playing chess*. He had won the World Chess Championship, was wealthy and wanted to do something else with his life, so he traveled the world, something many of us only wish we could do. RIP Bobby.

The film footage of that match is very hard to come by as cameras were not authorised to film the match. I see that some of the footage used is from the BBC documentary aired a few years back about the match. Boris and Bobby produced some really wonderful games during that match. The soundtrack for the video sits neatly with thee footage. Great work!

@qasion Thats exactly right they did become good friends and i think fisher realized spassky was a true gentleman who hated the russian state as fisher hated the corrupt american authorities , and both new they were being used like pawns in a cold war.

I am glad the two of them got together in 92. I heard they had good time together after the match like good old friends.
