The story of the one time outspoken retired Catholic Archbishop Ndingi Mwana aNzeki thas now been told in his new biography A Voice Unstilled. Archbishop Ndingi stood out as one of the vocal leaders who kept the KANU single-party government on toes right through the 1990s as the opposition activists fought for multi-partysm. And as NTVs Rose Wangui reports, Ndingi says leadership and governance to date remains a key challenge for Kenya.

  • I Liked him too, hope to read his book.

  • I like Ndingi..he always spoke for the oppressed..he was fearless..just as many have mentioned... he REALLY deserved to have been a cardinal..MAY GOD BLESS HIM!

  • ndingi was great i used to serve mass with him in them days in holy family.God bless him.

  • I find it very much in order to acknowledge n appreciate Ndingi for the time he was true to the cause of truth n justice especially at a time when very few dared even speak! Sadly though Ndingi has ended up like many other former reformists in Kenya by ultimately succumbing to the powers behind the status quo! This is the tragedy when I look at him n others of his ilk especially since their 'conversion' hurts the cause so much!

  • He really was a great leader. I met him personally years ago.

  • Business. there is nothing free in this world. where are you from slim? Do you have any kids?

  • I agree with you. You put it right. They denied him the cardinalship but he deserved it. God will reward him for standing up for what was right. just look at today's cardinal and achibishops, they are scared stiff. God bless archibishop Mwana a Nzeki. !!

  • This Mwana A Nzeki should have been a cardinal. If cardinalship is awarded through someone who fight inhuman and oppressive regime, then I vote for this guy. Figting Moi regime was scarely and whoever dared had to sacrifice their lives. That's why Muge is long gone and many others.

  • I feel bad for Ndingi Mwana Wa Nzeki. He never became a Cardinal because some other archbishops undermined him with the very government of Moi to never be one! In anycase the end justifies the means. The very regime he fought for too long ended up sodomizing Kenya left and right until there was a civil war! To hell with kIBAKI.

  • I miss him...the only man who called it as it was! I like the 'watukufu and the watukutu' reference. Too many watukutus out there voting in blanks.
