any chance you could give ma the specific set up on this car. i have a 93 and want something similar to this beastly idle.
-
LOl sounds almost like a v6 or a v8 at idle but rev it and all that 4 cyl sound comes out, i got a 91 and i wanna change the exhaust but im thinking more about a turbo type muffler instead of a chambered one, also u should put a resonator before the muffler to get rid of the rasp.

I have a 3" Flowmaster 40 series with 2-1/2 reducers (single in dual out with one out plugged, come out from under my 3/4 Ford pickup) under my Miata, no resonator, 4 2 1 header, no cat, with 2-1/2" pipes front to back, and a 3-1/2" tip, and you can hear mine from over 300 yards away according to my friends wife...

I mark as shitty

looks like a guy with the "quick step"!

60 series sounds much better on 4 cyl.

The muffler sounds good on your car.

i got that noise too on my mazda 626. i just got the same muffler insalled. it only makes the noise sometimes i think i just needs to be broken in
I didn't know you could install a 44 series on a 4 cyl! I'm getting a 40 delta series on my older work car but on my new car it's going to be the 44 series.
Can you play the radio without bleeding your ears and can you hear your passenger talking without shouting?
Thanks for shooting and please show more (like drive passes).

You can hear the radio and passengers fine over the muffler, but just be sure to put a resonator in the line somewhere. My exhaust doesn't have one, so it drones pretty bad at 60 mph with the hardtop on. Soon as I buy it back from my friend I'll get more videos :3

do you remember what the part number was for the muffler? I have a 99 miata and I want to put this same series flowmaster on my car but cant seem to find a number or size anywhere. plus people keep saying that putting a flowmaster muffler on a miata actually takes performance away instead of incresing it which doesnt make sense to me. not sure if they are talking about the same muffler or not, but I love the sound you have. is it really raspy when accelarating??

I'm not sure of the part number, but I'm buying the exhaust back from my friend shortly. Far as the taking power away, It's not as torquey, but you get a little more top end. It's quite raspy when cold, and mine drones real bad on the highway at 3000 rpms cause it's got no resonator in it.
