Childs Glacier is located about 50 miles outside of Cordova, Alaska. This is a short video of the glacier calving and a sizable wave that travels about a half mile across the Copper River.

No, that is a myth by some fisherman who also claimed he surfed the wave.

It wasn't a glacier it was a landslide from an earthquake.

The wave was like 1400 feet high

A glacier wave can be way higher than any earthquake's tsunami or even the largest rogue wave. if it happen in a narrow or funnel-shape valley... RUN !!!!!! There are proof of 500 meters high wave in 58' somewhere in Alaska ,A fisherman and his boy survived it !!!!
