YES!! This is one righteous event! I will be going to my 4th or 5th "DeLand Burn" this year. I love our community. We take this opportunity to burn away negativity in the big fire. We make effigies and send them up in smoke. Last year I burned "excuses." I think I need to do that again.

word lol this looks like half the psytrance parties we have in the bush here in canada. the quiet night everyone setts up camp and gets to know each other. the next will be danced away in a torrent of noise and rhythm.

This video is from last year's smaller version of the Burning Man Festival held in Deland, Florida. The violinist is Charlie Gear, who composed the tune, The Burning Man, for the lighting of the fire and effigy.

Okay, so I've never been. But tonight at a party put on by the Textiles students at NCSU (they know how to party by the way) I met someone who just went to Burning Man 2009. Their sole recommendation was to go to Burning Man, at least once. She said it was in Nevada, and that you just need to find it on the way ( I paraphrase of course). So ask the right people, I sure will. I draw, that is my thing. I will bring my thing, my art, to burning man X. Burning Man 2010. NO WORRIES, ITS FOR 2010.

I loved the music and replayed it while i was working just listen to it again. And yes, this is a ideal size and setting. I want to learn more!
