@ssengkky in my opinion the hx5v is quality for the money had mine for about 8months and I'm pleased with it. and still it surprises me sometimes when i take pictures. I can't say much about the video quality cos I don't film but the short clips i've taken it's good quality for a camera. And i can tell u that I was first going to buy the sx210 but then decided for the hx5v, it just had the something that felt right with it. the functions are clear and it's easy to use. hope that this will help

I've heard enough from all comments, but i need only one clear answer if this camera HX5V is good. Image quality and video. I bought Cannon SX210 in late December 2010, and felt very disappointed cos of poor quality and its function. So i need to change from Cannon to Sony and hope i can get a real answer cos i dun want to feel i waste my money in rubbish bin. Thank you.

@isaac23k try switch the video to mpeg-4 format before U film if U have a AVCHD- format, WMM won't recognize it. hope it help's U.

I have this camera and the only video editing software i have is windows movie maker, i try and drag the video on windows movie maker like my last camera.. but it says "error, we will let you know if theres a solution for this problem" help me plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

@MrJamesParhas I dont think so, it's able to take 10 full resolution photos in 1 second so it should take 1 without lag :D
