I be sorry it was so short too. Good song choice! Sec. was sort of a ham, they say he liked people an awful lot. He sure knew when the cameras were facing him. He was not on steroids, as some juvey troll lies. The necropsy performed on him showed his heart was about 2 3/4 times normal size, making it totally natural that he processed oxygen far better than any other horse, ever. He was a fluke, a once in a (human) lifetime anomaly. 600+ progeny, what a stud!

Sec-re-tari-at..the name itself is majestic! He was beautiful & daring. RIP Secretariat.

Secretariat=Steriods monster

I know Secretariat's Great Grandson. How? cuz he belongs 2 my friend Sabrina
-
That horse was STILL accelerating as he crossed the finish line. If it was counted until his jockey slowed him into a walk, he would've cleared at least 42 lengths away from the others <3

I love Secretariat! he is so cool.

@RuffianZenyatta15 You got everything confused my friend. Secretariat Derby time is 1:59 2/5 not 1:59. His 1:59 time was when he went through the 1 1/4 post in the Belmont Stakes race. With all due respect just how old are you? I believe you are just a beginer & have not done some real research.

@RuffianZenyatta15 You better look again my friend. That was 1:57 4/5 not 1:57. Offically The Bid holds the record But Secretariat was timed in 1:57 4/5 pulling up another furlong in the Marlboro Cup race. Whetherr offical or not he done it in that time is the bottom line. If horseracingnation said 1:57 they are dead wrong. Look up horse racing records & you will find 1:57 4/5. Watch the race on youtube. It said 1:57 4/5.

@rscarbro100 Go to horseracingnation and look up his past performances. You wont see a mile and a quarter in 1:57. I did my reading and studying. Spectacular Bid holds the world record for the mile and a quarter on dirt. He ran it in 1:57. Secretariat hold the track record for the Kentucky Derby, running the race in 1:59

@TexluverTB - Hello. Another one of Secretariat's Great Grandson's, named Maui, is here in No. Car. (retired from racing). We were amazed when we met him how very much he looked like his famous Great Grandfather. He's magnificent & very friendly. The owners are too young to recall the events of '73. I showed them a few of my Secretariat collectibles which they very much enjoyed (they didn't know he had his own beanie baby, etc.) I'm sure Zam is wonderful! Lucky you are. Best Wishes!
