An investigative and powerfully emotional examination of the epidemic of rape of soldiers within the U.S. military, the institutions that cover up its existence and the profound personal and social consequences that arise from it.

Winner: US Documentary Audience Award - 2012 Sundance Film Festival

In order for necessary and important changes to happen around military rape (MST), we need to have open, challenging conversations. This is an emotionally charged and difficult subject, and we ask that people keep their comments respectful.

  • @hmspina You do realize that this is one of the reasons why women in the military are raped? Men can't handle women in positions of power and want them to resign from service. I'm disgusted that you think that women should be punished because of actions that are being committed by men.

  • Anyone who commits rape is NOT a Soldier. There is always someone complaining that the Army is being watered down by Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault training awareness;this is not the truth. Real Soldiers and Leaders will not stand by and allow such crimes to happen in the military ranks.I am man who will intervene to protect my brothers and sisters from the cowardly crime of sexual assault.Call me a snitch if you like;this snitch will give stitches. I will FIGHT the enemy within the ranks.

  • WOMEN IS THE SKIN AROUND THE VAGINA

    am I right or wrong??

  • @Einmalig001 faggot

  • The film makers of this documentary should have done their homework. If they had taken the time to do that, they would have found out that ONE of the females on this film is a bold face lier. Thus, discrediting the entire film. This is very unfortunate.

  • The reason a woman is more likely to be raped than killed in combat is because women are not sent into combat situations. That's where the men are raped.... sorry, I mean killed and mutilated while the women sit in safety and get equal pay. The women who are raped are dumb women who wouldn't get a job stacking shelves in Walmart, not 'powerful women'. They are dumb fcuks like the guys doing the raping. That's the US military. Get used to it or get out of it.

  • Wow. This film looks powerful to say the least. I recently saw "Hell and Back Again" which was the military documentary shown at last years Sundance. This movie was incredibly well-made. The transitions from scenes of Sgt. Nathan Harris in Afghanistan leading his men into enemy territory to Nathan back home in struggling to recover from a gunshot wound and deal with the mental casualties of being a soldier were flawless. The story is beautiful and tragic all in one.

  • This sadly seems to reflect the Catholic Church in the worst possible way.

  • @goatshredder how in the world is bringing rapists to justice (in the military or otherwise) EVEN REMOTELY considered "feminisation"? This isn't about "gendered" alternatives to anything - it's about CRIME.

  • @tanfin2010 So you only care about what happened to you! the fact that the military is a cruel and unjust organization who's sole purpose is destruction, does not bother your?
