The video, taken from a Utah Highway Patrol dashboard camera, shows Trooper John Gardner using a Taser on Jared Massey during a traffic stop on State Road 40 in Uintah County on Sept. 14.2007 "Turn around," the officer says again. "Turn around."What the heck is wrong with you?" the motorist asks again, then turns and starts walking back to his car.of The officer then Tasers the driver in the back as the man's pregnant wife screams from their vehicle. She later jumps out and is ordered to get back in the car.

just another punk ass cop abusin his power....LEGALLY you have the right to refuse to sign a ticket, this guy is obvious some high school jock who couldnt make it past high school and still has a grudge.....

@mamacornettesmoney same rules most of us use in real life... Talk calmly, if that doesnt work, then tell them youll have to use force... then use your hands first, then the non lethal weapons, and then the lethal weapons. Thats the rules that police use as well. This guy skipped quite a few steps. And again, the civilian wasnt really that uncooperative... he hadnt shown enough yet to warrant anything. If you were a trained professional you would realize this. Even cops would call this out.

But you still haven't proposed what he should do when he's arresting someone who has been uncooperative from the start and the person flat out refuses to put his arms behind his back and turn around?

You're acting like the only reason the cop could use the taser is if the guy makes some huge move of aggression and that's false in Utah.

@mamacornettesmoney again as a soldier myself... when Im in a high stressed environment... I wouldnt be freaking out over that.... If the cop is that untrained to the point where hes afraid of every little move... hes in the wrong career bro.

@eddieisfiction ? He was pulled over after he passed the sign. it's on the video. He sped past a sign, got pulled over, then refused to accept it.

And what "needed" to happen was because he put his hands around his waste and tried to walk off when the cop told him to turn around. Of course they have to see that as aggression. The cop doesn't know what the fool will do.

@mamacornettesmoney by the time you are pulled over any sign in front of you is already too late to be seen... not a very good argument about just looking at the video... now the guy was slightly uncooperative, but it wasnt even close to anything resembling needing what happened.
