The idea for the song came when the flood of memories hit me while I walked through the house after everything was moved out.

I loved this song the first time I heard it and still love it, John. I can't believe I have not commented on it yet. Maybe it hit me so hard by bringing up my own memories that I did not feel fit to write anything -- and later on I assumed I did comment. Anyway, here I am stating the obvious: this is one beautiful piece of songwriting and production. I still have a lump in my throat as I am writing this.
