This is a speed painting, time-lapse demonstration of my studio practice and how I create large figurative oil paintings. In this video, I paint a piece entitled, "Paris Tourist Turning Left", a large canvas depicting a woman walking in Paris as viewed from above. It is rendered in my signature, "Pixel Expressionism" style. Enjoy this how to video and interesting animated look inside the studio.

  • Thank you, lynda. Not exactly, I paint horizontal and criss-cross marks to create what you're seeing in the brushwork. So, in effect, I'm painting the blend and then finding the hard edges or pixels at the end as I finish the painting.
