@evofemale thks for your comments evofemale....I'm afraid that I no longer live in Vietnam, so no more Vietnamese stuff from me...we had lots of problems with the translations...if you have time to send me some notes on where it is wrong, I would really appreciate it :) too late to change it now but I would be interested to know where it is wrong...

Like Keith said, you should have done some reseach about Hmong Love Market before you said anything that embarrassed yourself.

I was born in Vietnam so "Cho Tinh" means Love Market. It was used by Hmong Vietnamese. Hmong languages borrow words from countries that they settled into. Just like nampa is not hmong word for fish sauce. It came from Thai.

I did some research, and the love market is not specifically a Hmong holiday. It's more like a get-together that is celebrated in North Vietnam's Ha Giang Province by the various ethnic groups there, including the Hmong. The holiday takes place in Khau Vai Village from March 26-27, and it's a popular time for young people to go to find future marriage partners. Since I'm running out of characters, just look up Khau Vai Love Market on Google for the complete description.
