The bolt body slides effortlessly on sealed roller bearings with a left-handed bolt. Time after time in 5-round volleys, my Cobb out-shot a Barrett in Timed-Accuracy volleys. The muzzle brake on the Cobb is 3 times larger and recoil is reduced to that of a standard .308. If I am shooting over 100 yards, I can see my round hit downrange. -End Part Two (of two)
A former employee of Cobb left and opened his own Class III store and special ordered a dozen of the FA50T/BA50T’s. I like the combination. I've never fired one with the Fast Action upper, but the spring loaded boost is supposed to make it a little easier to get subsequent rounds downrange. -End Part One
The same people that made the Cobb make the Bushmaster. But, I think, the Bushmaster only comes in a carbine, has an unnecessary rail system and an adjustable stock, which I don't like either. The longer barrel (for measurably higher muzzle velocity) on the Cobb and more comfortable stock make it my first choice. Either one beats the hell out of ANY Barrett with the left hand bolt. With the larger muzzle brake, recoil is less. By the time the 82A1 has reaquired, my second round is down range.
why do you have a fa50 lower and not a fa50 upper did you have problems with the fa50 upper and went to the ba50 upper? i am thinking of getting a fa50 and want to make sure since they only made about 150 fa50's that it isnt trouble.
