I'm so jealous I wasn't here. Derek is incredible and so is Kras. I saw Krasno play "All Along the Watchtower" with Dave Matthews Band at Madison Square Garden. STILL one of the best performances I've ever seen. First time I saw Soulive, however, was at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston with Sam Kininger Band opening. I never even heard of them before hand. Talk about a good night.

Yeah, you know Kofi Burbridge (The Derek Trucks Band keyboard and flautist) and his brother, bassist Oteil Burbridge of the Allman Brothers Band (both of which Derek is a primary member) -- the Burbridge Brothers are from Washington D.C. This city is full of undiscovered talent!

I totally agree! I just missed seeing both of these bands and was torn. Now that I know I missed them together, I don't know how i will carry on!

pretty common pentatonic riff... trucks probably stole it from T-Bone Walker who probably stole it from some guy on the corner down in Louisiana 80 years ago. music is never stealing... just borrowing.
