Then I Close My Eyes written by David Gilmour and first appearing on the "On an Island" album released in 2006.
Shown here from Disk 3 of the 5 disk set "Live In Gdansk" filmed at the Gdańsk Shipyard to commemorate Poland's 1980 Solidarity revolution.
This version features Dick Parry on sax, Richard Wright on keyboards, Guy Pratt on bass and Phil Manzanera on guitar as well as David Gilmour playing Acoustic slide, The Black Strat, and a cümbüş as well as vocals. Backed by the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zbigniew Preisner.

  • You forgot to mention David also plays lap steel at the end which is a great counterpoint to Dick Parry's sax. The cumbus part sounded like a country riff. I always yell "YEEHAWW" over it.
