Get out of the little 4 quadrant world I see so many double staff spinners living in. That's right, I think this is important enough to end a sentence with a preposition, just to get your attention. Unless you're in a really confined spot, use more space than the 6' x 6' square in front of you. Obviously, you don't want to ONLY do wide moves, but I think it's a great thing to integrate into an act. This is just a taste of a few ways to do this, but I wanted to get it out there.
The second half of the video is about wheel-plane, NON-fingerspinning forward flowers. If you look at a basic antispin, the staff makes a 1/4 turn at each quadrant. What about the rest of the circle? This is how to make 3/4 spins at each quadrant. None of what I do in this segment involves fingerspinning. So if you feel you need to fingerspin to get it to work, you're doing it wrong.
btw in the poi world we'd call that inspin flowers(your forward flowers)... oh and im pretty sure you can call it that in staff too... lolz

Yes, it's pretty universal between poi and doubles. I just don't like the term "inspin". If you watch, half the staff is always moving OUT from the center, yet it's supposed to be INspin? And the word inspin doesn't flow very well, two accented words smashed together. Alternatively, "Forward Flower' could be fit into Shakespearian verse.
And this is why I called it what I did. Hey, you brought it up :)
Call it what you like
