OOOh amazing, thanks you!!

obv you can pick any number!
when you subtract it in the end is doesnt matter :S
-
you honestly think some one would pick a complex number when you asked them to pick a number.
I think you are the only one who would be like. Hey this didn't work cause i picked 9i!
-
hey its quite obvious but the answer is not always correct.its true for real numbers only and not for complex numbers.this is not a trick
-
yeah about that.. you made a mistake coz look
4+5=9
9x2=18
18-4=14
14/2=7
7-4=3
tadaaaaa the answer is 3
-
u do it wrong. if u choose the no. 5
then u have to add with 5. not 4.
5+5=10
10 x 2=20
20-4=16
16/2=8
8-5=3

Hmmm.. FAIL :L
I think he lies!

Excuse me, but that's basic algebra.
Let's say we take x as the number, then we go:
x
x+5
2(x+5)=2x+10
2x+10=2x+6
(2x+6)/2=x+3
x+3-x=3
Obviously, you get to three all the time, because your number doesn't really change anything.

Stupid it works because of the subtract your starting number....... that means you always really start on 0. Then when you add 5 you get 5 then double to get 10 then minus 4 gives 6 then half it gives you 3. Phhhfft.
