Amateur impersonator and Kennedy family admirer Gary N. brings his tribute to John F. Kennedy to the podium.
This is documentation from the last of 4 Saturday events at the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Forum in St. James Park, San Jose, CA - which commemorates him speaking there 2 months before his assassination. As part of the temporary public art project, "RFK Remix" - http://www.rfkremix.info, individuals are invited to recite RFK speeches in front of a tapestry sewn from recycled clothing. The tapestry acts as a temporary renovation and a visual cue to signal activity taking place at the monument during the Saturday events in the park (May 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st — 11am - 1pm) and relates to the story of a woman who used to give away free clothing in the park. "RFK Remix" is a project produced by artist Helena Keeffe and is one of several temporary public art projects presented by the San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs http://www.w1w2.org sponsored by City of San José Public Art Program, the Santa Clara Valley Transit Authority and the San Jose Redevelopment Agency.
