Maybe God was too lazy to instantiate every atom and just referenced the same object all over =P
But then one celestial programmer caused DLL Hell and the DotBible framework had to be released.

Whaaaat? An interference pattern!??!

@hughjoey 2. You will get a wave pattern if you leave the measuring device active but avoid recording the result to a tape. This means the the record of what happened affects the outcome not the measuring device at the slit. This is discussed on the Youtube video "Explained ! The Double Slit Experiment " by Mindrush.
So, Do I understand this correctly or is there something I'm missing? I'd like to see what you think.

@hughjoey "This experiment DOES NOT suggest the idea that the conscious observer changes the result."
It does seem that a conscious observer or a physical record of what happened does change the result. The measuring device does not change the result for two reasons. 1. If you put a measuring device by one slit a particle going through the other slit would not be affected by the measuring device.

First of all this video is extrapolating waaaay beyond the data. This experiment DOES NOT suggest the idea that the conscious observer changes the result. Its the fact that the particle is being interacted with by an observing device. You can believe what you like, everyone is entitled to an opinion. However remember this; the idea that the earth is on the backs of turtles and is the center of the universe is also an opinion. If you have questions as to why this vid is FALSE feel free 2 msg

Mind over matter.
So I guess the next step would be to discover whether the observer can affect the way the particle/wave behaves. If so, that'd put a whole new paint job on things...

Are you meaning to "control or change" the behavior of the particle/wave? The video shows that the observer does indeed change the experiment by the act of observation. What I think would be amazing is to break that barrier so that the observer could directly affect the particle/wave with conscious intent, and get to a point where the particle/wave could function in either mode with or without observance. I recommend watching the part of this series "messages from water"
