Yes, he re-madded some MADs. We're sorry. :p

  • I'm loving all of these parts so far, but I do have one question; What's the song that plays at 3:15 all the way to the end? It's awesome and makes me feel like drawing! :D

  • @MizuTakishima3 that's Kemonogatari by Renzu

  • Yes, Colin re-madded some MADs, sorry :p

Also, we wanted to show the "ugly" stuff as well b/c that's a part of sakuga. Anime is often made in a mad rush, and a substantial clean-up is cut short by the deadline. Sometimes teams & studios decide to retain the animator's auteur style for artistic expression, or to appease "sakuga" fans in particular. The common misconception that the animation "got cheap" or "was drawn by monkeys" in such dynamic scenes is incorrect. We wanted to show that.

  • That Naruto scene ruined naruto for me... I mean, I will still appreciate the very quality stuff they have later but that was just awful... I hated it so much.. Why couldn't they have used the normal sakuga style they've used before? they just pulled this out for my favorite arc and gave me a clean one to the crimson.. *sigh* I never watched naruto but I wanted to watch the Pain arc because it was my favorite part in the manga.. and when I did watch it I was scarred..

  • The Naruto part, the animator did a bad and a good job. I mean, the animations were fluent and nice, but he disorted the characters too much. also, he gave too much of himself to the scene as well, things very ignorant to the series.

that said, I though it was Atsushi Wakabayashi who did that scene. his name is cleared then :D

  • I love how on this comnents page everyone talks to each other and not at each other and helps everyone with questions and lots of insight from anime fans.Fans of anime rule.

  • NARUTO SPOILERS

  • @Spyderist Anipages daily is your best source in English. There are more sources in Japanese. Very little has been written about this beyond anipages in the west.

  • Oh man, that Pein fight sucked. Probably one of the most disappointing fights in the history of that show. I think he still is animating the fights right now.

  • solid series! do you guys have a site that has a longer form history of this stuff? what books should I check out?

  • @fromstart2finish I played it with QuickTime player while using the arrow keys to scroll between the frames.

  • @fromstart2finish use vlc player.............it has a frame by frame setting which u could see the video frame by frame by pressing E

  • @rioshu

If you dont mind me asking, how did you slow the fight scene down enough to copy it? Do you have it on dvd or is there some sort of website that has anime animation frames?
