This is Victoria's first edited 10-second flick using the software Cyberlink PowerDirector Express provided by JVC. It came along with my camcorder from Costco. I think the model is Everio, and it has a 30GB hard drive. Most of the movie is associated with pre-existing demo film and music files provided with the software. My film is personally critiqued as "pathetic," but the whole point here is to demonstrate that I edited a film. Two days from now, Blue Horizons will start using professional videocameras, along with Final Cut Pro, so at least I received a preview of what it's like. The worst part is that the process was so, sooo simple, that I could just KICK myself, wondering why I didn't know this a long, LONG time ago. Why didn't I try a long time ago. Then again, I did not have ANY social context for learning, nor did I have anyone to look up to. So now, I have knowledgeable people doing their capillary action on me, pulling me up the tree. Amen to pathetic-ness. In a few weeks, it must turn to mastery.
I use that program...its good isent it?
