  • Hi Aunty! Can we add grated carrots to enhance the color and taste?

  • @priyamvadha123

    Try it

  • I do have a question.

Are the peas not cooked or are they cooked before adding to pan? from frozen, from can, or from fresh?

  • @antlerbaby

I used frozen peas and you do have to cook them until peas are tender.

  • HareKrishna ,Thank you for this recipe, it is best for Eakadashi if we can make small change in contents.

  • we have similar dish called "tarhona" or egg barley, but never put lemon juice and chili in it

  • @don19arroyo the main part of the dish is tapioca!!

  • Just tried it and came out really well. Thanks a lot for sharing. I did some small variations - added kadi leaves along with green chilies and added some boiled potato cubes along with the green peas. Thanks Again !

  • Hi! Looks very tasty. I have a question.............I do add boiled & chopped potatoes. Have you tried adding potatoes? I have no idea how that might taste with green peas.

  • Wow!!! nice hot indian PUSSY!!! i can lick her's anytime, Yum!!!!!!

  • @Manjulaskitchen @priyamvadha123 I tried it with grated carrot and found it gave it a slight sweetness we liked. This was the first of Manjula's recipes I tried and we still love it as a snack or for breakfast. Thank you again, Manjula!

  • nice

  • @dabul2003 Hello, it's probably not a good idea to use it as a substitute for rice regularly, as it has little to no protein at all - almost entirely starch. It is delicious though, so using it once in a while should be okay. If you are looking at gluten-free healthy alternatives to rice, try out some quinoa, a complete protein source packed with other vitamins and minerals that can be cooked just like rice. If it isn't available at your local grocery store, check out a health food place.

  • instead of tapioca, can i use rice instead??
