I started lisening to them in 2008 and can't get enough. I'm a drummer and have played all kinds of music from classic country to heavy metal and punk rock. And I have to say it's refreshing to know that you don't only have to play in Texas or be playing country music to have a fiddle in the band. It's a nice touch, and I believe musical genius when it comes to song writing. Style reminds me a bit of classic Pink Floyd when it comes to expressing anger lyrically and emotionally.

Blue october almost defies genre. No two songs ever sound the same and every one is just as passionate as the others. The only other band that can come close to these guys on an emotional level is cold.
