And since you were talking while clicking through the photos, it will all semi relate. So for the dentist thing, it might just be a picture of yourself in the parking lot or waiting room or an exterior of their sign, it doesn't matter, when the photos only semi-relate, that will actually be better. Anyway, thats my suggestion.

Okay, so first take a lot of pictures. Then bring them into iPhoto and they will all be sorted in the order they were taken. Then select all the pictures you want to show. Then just hit record on snapz and on quicktime with your web cam and record both you and the screen together. Then in final cut sync the two up and do a little picture in picture. So you would be small to the left in a box.

I've been reading about polyamory too. And nice to see you are life logging. I think it would be amazing if you could set up a slide show of stills to go along with your break down of what happened in your week. Here is how you could do it with very little production and editing:
