What's not being talked about in the press is the health care provisions in the President's Stimulus Bill which is giving the federal government even more control in US Health Care. If it is deemed too expensive for the government to pay for, then you won't get the treatment. This is definitely a form a rationing.
What if you're elderly and you break your hip, the government may not want to pay for that. What if your one chance for treatment or a cure is an expensive treatment, will the government pay for that, or let you suffer? What if it was one of your family members or a friend?
Especially if you're a physician in the US Health Care system, I encourage you to check out DoctorAnonymous.com and also read my post called "Stimulus Bill & Health Care" for more information.
