if U.S didn't decommission does aircraft it would be 2x or 3x Air power dominance than china and russia.... and sucks you know my country use a old aircraft that had been used since 1960, and Vietnam war..

to think that the american tax payers still haven't payed for all that scrap metal yet, but the corporations that built them, got their money a long time ago.

the guillotine is no longer used and torches are now used insted. insted of just crusing the metal which was found to cause alot of stress on the parts of the aircraft that were going to be re used for other flying ones. the torch dosent have much of a shock of the aircraft then the guillotine

I would love the chance to transform an old warbird into a home, a boat, or even make minibuildings from sections of the fuselage, but unfortunately the U.S Government will not sell any aircraft, subs,or large ships to the American public unless it is to be only turned into scrap form (and the ships are to be dismantled in other nations due to enviromental regulations and health concerns). Which is a shame because there are a million different uses that they could be re-purposed for use as ...
