I feel your pain JTroup regarding the cost of upgrades. But, I myself consider the open labs products to be a rich man/woman musical tool. In 2 years I will be finish with my Phd and I will be financially able to upgrade with no problems. Also, I just got bless with my first record contract for one of my gospel songs. I believe that the Lord will provide me with the money I need either through the record deal or job from my education. OP is offering tim miko/neko upgrade for $1650.

The music computing keyboard workstations are powerful PCs, but man I don't like the little button/drum pads or the screen being made detachable. I decided to go with the neko instead. I'm use to the mv8800, mpd24, and maschine size pads and my screen being integrated into the keyboard chasis like on my fantom g6, x8, m3, piano, and neko. But the ability to have 192gb of ram is great even though I will never need that much. 8gb of ram on my neko does me fine on my neko and 2 Macs.

@lasoniarideout And in 2 years, when Open Labs tells you it's gonna cost $3000 to upgrade your Neko to the latest generation, (like they did me), you're not gonna be happy!
