that was an "analogy", i think that you must have minimal education.you should read about electron transport and photosynthesis, if you have trouble with the big words let me know and I will explain. you are done with me because you do not know what you are talking about. lumens are a measure of intensity, plants do not intake any light, light is not consumed, hence the "analogy" with water.

light is not water, light fills a space, it does not get consumed and sucked out of the air. it is more important to prune out light blockage than add more light. by pincing back leaves and pruning he can get 2 1/2 foot bottle brush plants no problem.
