  • Mikey, I didn't pay that much for it so I'm not worried about the warrenty. Weight is my concern. Several guys on the forem have done it, I just need to know exactly what to do so I don't ruin it. Thanks!

  • I am going to put it on an RC airplane and there is too much weight. I'm almost sure I've seen other guys do this in some sort of way, but until I bought this I never paid attention. BTW! Thanks for all your input.

  • well you could cut the ones that go from the transmitter from the camera and join them but you cannot cut the main power cord(the one that plugs into an ac adapter to the transmitter) but i could ruin it because sometimes when you put wires back together they dont work so you should think about doing this

  • Thanks again!

  • i think you could do it but you would have to keep the main power cable(the one that goes to the transmitter)

  • Thanks guy! Do you mean that I should put both my red wires (power) together as a power source to both the camera and the little tx?

  • You sould not cut the power cable because most of them they have a regulator on the connector so that the camera will receive 5VDC and the txmitter will receive 8 to 9VDC. If you cut the power then you have to get a voltahe regulator for 5VDC for the cam and 9VDC for the txmitter. Unless the camera have a builtin regulator then you need not use the regulator else the camea will damage

  • it will void the warrenty of ur camera units , so no don't do it

  • i think that that camera that you saw may have come like that because i was looking for some on amazon the other day and i found some without all those wires

  • if you do this really the only ones i think you can cut the av cables but if you cut it where you where pointing you could get the electrical ones confused because there are four wires that will be similair to each other once you get in there so it probably best to keep it how it is just in case you ever have problems with the transmitter

  • you should consider cutting them because they make them like that just in case the transmitter ever goes out so you can use it as a wired camera

  • well you could cut the ones that go from the transmitter from the camera and join them but you cannot cut the main power cord(the one that plugs into an ac adapter to the transmitter) but i could ruin it because sometimes when you put wires back together they dont work so you should think about doing this
