  • @Corvox

I tried to research the problem as there was a whole lot to it...

I don't want to upgrade to the newest ubuntu yet, but the linux core in the newest ubuntu (as well as most distros) adds a feature to resolve some rare problems between different coding procedures or something. I can't guarantee it works as i haven't tried it (tried to install a separate linux boot but i'm a noob so i failed), but some people claimed it fixed the issue, though more factors might be involved.

  • @Nabo00o i also got the same problem... i dont know why but in 10 or 15 min it crashes down. In my old pc with windows, its truth that sometimes happened the same...but not so fast. You know how to solve that problem?

  • When I run it with wine it will randomly crash all the time, i heard its a windows problem too. This a really entertaining game, but doesn't even come close to the quality of HoMM2 :D

  • Is it possible to run it fullscreen?

And if run on widescreen monitor, fullscreen image will be stretched or it'll be with normal proportions with black borders?

  • Hi. :) Great game indeed. Can I ask you about the settings you used in Wine? Because when I start the game I get a little bit of a cracking sound and the mouse cursor lags from time to time. I've played much more graphics intense games, so this can't be from a weak machine. :)

  • Like you mentioned in the description, this is kinda pointless, especially since there is a Linux version.

But still, my favorite (and first in the HoMaM3 versions) was Shadow of Death, and since (as far as I know) there isn't a native Linux version for it, I can't really play it unless I run it through WINE.
