eBay member "oi8abug" in good standing since 2001 with "812" 100% Positive Feedback was scammed out of $15,200.00 in a very clever eBay Motors Vehicle Scam.

oi8abug verified the listings legitimacy through eBay Motors live support , and was assured it was a legitimate EBM listing and was covered by the eBay Motors Vehicle Purchase Protection Program. It turned out to be a scam!

eBay is denying all of this happened and is denying him the purchase protection he was told came with the listing!

  • Let us know if you find out the person got their money back. I doubt they will though. ;(

  • Got an email today, she has not heard anything back from eBay yet.

They should do the right thing and cover her loss. It was their live helps lack of training that told her it was a legit item covered by the vpp program!

  • WoW!!!

Does that mean that ebay LIED?

    ROFLOL!

  • eBay never lies - they just don't tell the truth!

    LOL!!!

Maybe they should go visit his channel and ask again.

    Wheeeeeeee?

  • Thanks Doc. :) Excellent.

This video speaks to a wide range of problems from poor site security and coding, to poorly trained cust. srvc, to the environment on and application of rules on forums. And also the censorship/destruction of evidence of crime, eg; ebaY making the fraud listings go "POOF"

Truly a very sad state of affairs.

Hopefully the victim can launch an executive email carpet bomb, and equivalent to press/media, perhaps even put his story and documentation upon YT

  • if ebay assured her, they should refund her the money. if she has proof and logs of this assurance, ebay should lose a court battle and be ordered to pay.

  • It's always the victims fault - if they had not used eBay they would not have been scammed.

This girl was suspicious of the low price, but eBay live help assured her it was legit and covered by the VPP program so how could she loose?

It has been said that eBay staffers and dead help does not have flash on there workstations so they were not redirected.

Just another case of the eBay blinders on three monkey scenario! LOL!

  • They won't refund crap! They will find a way to blame the victim. If that doesn't shut them up they send the tools and trolls to make their lives miserable. Just look what you already see? Does it get any more obvious?

  • If scammers were stealing my customers it would be all out war! But eBay don't give a rats azz about nobody but their bottom line!

  • Capp, please post your last redirect scam video as a video reply to this video. It had a 18 wheeler on the front.

Same old redirects and authenticating user data through eBay's drafty back door!

  • The thread on EBM has been updated. It was another redirect scam. He did get a screen shot of the listing on eBay before it redirected him.

Unfortunatley he discovered this after he sent a bank wire xfer to a money mule!

He is afraid to release screen shots because it might prevent eBay from refunding his money. I hope they do, but i kind of doubt it.

Scammers are still redirecting users off of eBay, and are pulling the user info from eBay as well.

Same old Data Dump - Different Day!
