A section of Muslim leaders are now calling for an independent inquiry into the death of one person emanating from Fridays demonstrations in Nairobi over the arrest and detention of controversial Jamaican cleric sheikh Abdullah Al Faisal. Leaders drawn from the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims, SUPKEM, NAMLEF, the Jamia Mosque Committee and a section of mps have also dismissed Internal Security Minister George Saitotis claims that the demonstrations were infiltrated by members of Somalia's terror group Al-Shabaab. Meanwhile, human rights activists say the alleged participation of Al-Shabaab militia is an indication of a security lapse.
