Every white person isn't a racist & every black person isn't a criminal. My mother is white my father is Mexican (both born & raised here), my Husband is black & our daughter is a little, innocent, AMERICAN girl who as a resident of Detroit has just as many opportunities as someone in a all "white" rural town! It's this kind of ignorance you all are spouting off about that keeps us as a country divided. Detroit is full of good people & strong families, I love my people, we WILL get through this!

You are right that the motor companies must generously compensate their employees, that's HOW CAPITALISM WORKS. The local banks also practiced shady lending practices that force members of my own family into a mortgage that never decreased in interest!

Yes, Detroit is FUCKED up in many ways & it has produced dope fiends, murders, dope dealers, gangsters, but it also has beauty not seen in this footage. It's from the jobs leaving Detroit that people cannibalized their own community. And those jobs left because of liberal policies. Fact.

My biggest question is why would a corporation want to open business in detroit with conservatives running the show? wouldn't the smarter financial move be to move overseas where workers, according to this video, are paid less and thus increasing the overall bottom line? unless, conservatives wish to interfere with the free market i don't see them running detroit any better than the crappy democrats.

@coltonnibbe Look at Texas, ran by conservative and free market idealist and they have one of the most thriving economies in the country. I don't even know why race is even a talking point in here because what it is is that people in Detroit are blind and have no awareness at all to see the bullshit they keep electing in.
