  • Best time of the year to control wasps is in June after queen has established her colony & while the colony is still small, however nests are small & also harder to find.Best time of day to control wasp nests is at night, when they are less active.Temperatures below 50° F, wasps have difficulty flying. Freezing temperatures will kill the colony. I wonder if any of this applies to the wasps in Toronto?

  • @oliveroma The ones here are very active 24/7 and take to the skies at night - they don't seem affected by temperature changes or much else.

  • @oliveroma I pay attention to their movements, it's the same wasp species as in the house - you can tell by how it flew in the house, and compare it to the flight characteristics and behaviour in the skies and in clusters and swarms.

  • @supermushmouse Have you any video footage of these black wasps and if so, how can you be sure that this insect did infact come from the cluster?

  • After observing several of your videos , which by the way I find fascinating, I have determined this pregnant fact.. Your camera sucks ! Peace
