This video shows some of the exciting side of sea kayaking that I enjoy. Dealing with (and using) waves, tide rips, rock gardens, etc.
This is the sister video to the one I have on animals seen while sea kayaking, which shows a much more mellow natural side of sea kayaking (listed under Video Responses).
Many of the clips shown here have been posted before, but this video is the first to put them all together.
There have been many more exciting times which I was not able to catch on film, as either the camera wasn't ready or I just couldn't deal with filming and staying upright at the same time...
Videos were taken with either a Pentax Optio W20 or Oregon Scientific ATC-2K. Helmet shots and deck cam were ATC-2K. Clearer shots generally where the Pentax.
I love ratings and comments, if you felt the urge...
That was actually my first time going over Disney Pour Over (or any pour over of that size). Before I started, I figured I'd make it over well enough, but would flip over on landing. Was totally amazed to land and still be upright.
I ran it a second time, and also landed upright.
