I flew Porter airlines from Chicago Midway to the Toronto island airport yesterday 8-25-2009. Little tiny turbo prop, but did the job! FREE drinks and beer in flight also!

  • Q400s are actually classified as large turboprops. They seat 70 people so I hardly would call them "tiny". :-)

Your video is fantastic by the way, you really captured the feel of that takeoff....and the sound is amazing as well. Cheers!

  • Well...they're comparatively tiny...relative to a 777 or the a380. ;)

Thanks for the comment, I tried hard to make it as good quality as possible for the investigators to pinpoint the cause of the crash (should it have happened). Glad for my sake at least we survived!

  • I don't think you have to worry about that, they're a very safe airline. :-) I've flown at least 8 times with them in the past year. Don't they have great service? I mean FREE booze....you just can't beat that in this day & age of airlines nickeling & diming you.

  • All the beautiful flight attendants don't hurt either! "Pamela" on board my return flight to Chicago was absolutely gorgeous!

  • its crazy how fast the landing gear retracts

  • Very nice ... very, very nice video. So nice to be able to capture such live video in this day and age. Awesome! Yes, Porter Airlines: they're indeed, very special!

  • what was the arrival process like in YTZ? I would like to know because I am flying Porter this summer for a vacation to Quebec and Montreal

  • The 757 is tiny compared to the A380 and 777
