  • for those of you who do not know. on S&W M&P's with a mag disconnect safety feature (meaning the weapon will not fire without a magazine in the weapon), to perform this stip method you will need to load an EMPTY mag in the weapon to pull the trigger. if you live in a state that does not requier a mag disconnect, it can be removed (search youtube) and the stip will be as the video showed. i know california requiers a mag.dis..

  • @javie793 glock is not perfect... nothing is perfect. i do feel that the m&p is actually a better pistol then the glock. i own a glock 34, 17L, and 19. Just got a m&p40. to me it feels better in hand the the glock 19 or 23. it deffinatly has a better trigger then the two. and i do not know why, but the m&p only being a quarter of an inch longer in grip (if that) then the 19/23 holds 2 more rounds.

  • @MTemkin Maybe the gun you tried this on had a magazine disconnect.

This method can still work, but you need to have a magazine in the gun when you pull the trigger.

  • Yeah the sear deactivation lever is for people/departments who are afraid of pulling the trigger to disassemble. Pulling the trigger to disassemble is not a big deal if you follow some very basic firearm safety rules and check and double check that your firearm is unloaded.

You'd have to have the brain power of a watermelon and the attention span of a soap dish to get a negligent discharge if you took the M&P apart the "fast way".

  • @MTemkin

Perhaps, sir. I honestly have no idea -- maybe you don't mean to be @'ing me?

  • Respond to this video...

I tried this today with a students gun and it did not work.

The gun is new so perhaps S&W has changed the design?

  • @azadder

This method does not work with the newer model which will not fire without a magazine,

  • Right after using your new trick, my dumbass accidently discharged a round when releasing the slide after reassembly... youd think there would be a safety mechanism where the gun wont discharge while the slide release lever is engaged. That retarded depression pin in the magazine well is nothing but a pain in the ass. Then again Im retarded for having a loaded magazine inserted during reassembly and should prolly be crucified for it, being a former marine an all... Luckily no one was hurt

  • Good job, Thanks!
