Alltel Wireless Presents HuskerFest

As Cornhusker fans prepare for Homecoming, Alltel Wireless, America's largest network providing coverage across the nation, today announced the ultimate Nebraska tailgate party -- HuskerFest. On October 11, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Alltel will transform Ed Weir Track into Husker heaven with free food, drinks, music, games and special appearances by Cornhusker legends Mike Rozier and Johnny Rodgers.

Entrance to the event is free, and everyone is invited to attend. Fans attending will be able to experience Alltel's one-of-a-kind Freedom Rig, a traveling 53-foot mobile vehicle highlighting Alltel's products and services. Throughout the event, 25 pairs of tickets will be given away to the Nebraska v. Kansas State game on November 10, 2007. In addition to the giveaways, games and free food, Alltel Wireless has a special VIP opportunity for the first 300 Alltel customers that show their Alltel-branded phone or their wireless bill. These customers will receive access to Alltel's VIP tent, as well as autographed memorabilia by Rozier and Rodgers.

HuskerFest will be a two-hour party to help fans get even more energized for the homecoming game on October 13, 2007 against Oklahoma State University. The event will feature:
•Free pizza and drinks from Valentino's (while supplies last)
•Live music from local favorite "Groove Puppet"
•Appearances by the Cornhuskers cheerleaders, pep band and mascot
•Drawings to giveaway 25 pairs of tickets to an upcoming Cornhusker game
•Football-themed games and giveaways
•Giant inflatable obstacle course for the kids
