Broken Love- Chap. 16 Part Two

"I can't help it that I'm strong." he replied, swimming over to me. "Now, do I get my prize?" he said, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him. My breathing became uneven as he rested his forehead against mine. I couldn't deny it, I still had feelings for him.

"Tha-that depends, wha-what did you want?" I studdered. Way to show off how nervous I was. He smiled, slowly bringing his lips closer, as if to see if I wanted it or not. Our lips were ready to make contact on eachother when,

"CANNON BALL!" Joe yelled, running to the pool and making a giant spalsh. Kevin and I parted quickly, my face turning a shade of red. Luckily, Joe hadn't seen anything.

"Way to wait up Joe!" Sydney yelled, jumping in after him.

"Someones mood changed dramatically." Kevin said while looking straight at Joe.

"Yeah well, yeah." he said.

"Uh Bonnie?" Syd asked.

"Yeah?"

"Why are you clothes laying up there all soaked?"

"Oh, Kevin over here," I said, playfully glaring at him,
"decided to get me all wet before I took my clothes off." A few seconds passed before Joe and Sydney started cracking up.

"Nice to...know." Joe said in between laughs. I looked at them oddly until it clicked.

"Oh my god! You two have the dirtiest minds!" I said, rolling my eyes at them. I looked over at Kevin who had his head down, his face flushed. It made me smile. I was really starting to fall hard for this boy.

Nick's POV

"Do you like it?" I asked nervously.

"I love it! I can't believe you remembered this place." I smiled at her, taking my hand in hers.

"How could I forget?"

Flashback;;

"So," I said, looking at the sunset. When Joe decided to go to the park, I knew right away that I'd take Jana to this pond. It's always been so peaceful.

"It's beautiful." Jana said, also staring at it.

" I know somthing a millions time more beautiful" I replied, turning my gaze to Jana.

" Whats that?"

"This girl I met last night at a concert."

"Oh." she replied, a touch of sadness in her voice. I chuckled in my head. How couldn't see realize I'm talking about her?

"And today I went to pinkberry with her." I said, a small smirk forming on my face.

" Really?" I smiled. She was catching on now.

"Yeah."

" Is she nice?"

"Yeah, I kinda wanna sing this one song of mine to her."

"Really when?" she asked, a smiall smile forming at the corner of her mouth.

"I was thinking about doing that right now." I began to sing the opening lyrics of "Hello Beautiful", staring into her eyes the whole time. When I finished, we continued to stare at eachother before tunring our attention back to the setting sun. I wanted to kiss her oh so badly, but I knew it would be too soon. My time would come.

End of flashback.

I smiled. It was perfect, the sun was just setting, the way it had years ago.

"Come on, lets eat before our pizza gets cold." she nodded, and we got out of the car. I carried the pizza and blanket while she carried our drinks, to her demand. I sat the red and white checkered blanket out and we both sat down.

"This is great Nick, really." I smiled.

"Anything for my," I paused, almost saying girlfriend. What are you thinking Nick, you have Selena, and you love her. "best friend." I finished, smiling at her. She nodded little and smiled back.

"So, why did you leave from your lunch thing so soon?" I asked.

"It's kind of a long story." she said, looking down at her food.

"I've got nothing but time." she sighed lightly, and nodded.

"Well..."
