HOW MUCH FOR THE GRILL?
-
I love this grill and have two. They sear meats like nobody's business and I even grill pizzettes on them because the grilling surface allows for little to no loss of food between the grates. Not a heavy amount of charcoal is needed and they sure hold heat well. Only draw back is at 30lbs the Lodge sportsman grill only offers a small surface to grill with. If you value the quality of cast iron/ Lodge company its still great. For most it may not be worth it but I love it and got a second one!

This reminds me of a grill I had 20 years ago. Nice cooking I can tell.

I find you want to load them up good if you are going to be cooking for awhile. I find the heat is easier to regulate once you get the coals white.

these grills take very little charcoal, looks like overkill in the video
Haha.. Yes, my assistant for the video got a bit carried away with the charcoal... We decided to go on with the filming rather than do another take. You are correct... it was overkill. Thanks for watching!

@ACityDiscount Did your assistant cook for 2 days? I have one and it burns a long time on a little coal.

@Back2Dixie maybe so. I will try to find out how that process went and get back to you.
