  • Haha.. Yes, my assistant for the video got a bit carried away with the charcoal... We decided to go on with the filming rather than do another take. You are correct... it was overkill. Thanks for watching!

  • @ACityDiscount Did your assistant cook for 2 days? I have one and it burns a long time on a little coal.

  • @Back2Dixie maybe so. I will try to find out how that process went and get back to you.

  • HOW MUCH FOR THE GRILL?

  • I love this grill and have two. They sear meats like nobody's business and I even grill pizzettes on them because the grilling surface allows for little to no loss of food between the grates. Not a heavy amount of charcoal is needed and they sure hold heat well. Only draw back is at 30lbs the Lodge sportsman grill only offers a small surface to grill with. If you value the quality of cast iron/ Lodge company its still great. For most it may not be worth it but I love it and got a second one!

  • This reminds me of a grill I had 20 years ago. Nice cooking I can tell.

  • I find you want to load them up good if you are going to be cooking for awhile. I find the heat is easier to regulate once you get the coals white.

  • these grills take very little charcoal, looks like overkill in the video
