Not only does Misty like Ash, Ash likes Misty because when she had to go back to Cerulean city at the end of the 5th season, Ash was crying and you could see the brown in his eyes. You can also see the brown when Ash is saying goodbye to one of his pokemon.

@Terrorj1501 yeah I do have to agree with you Misty&May's gens weer the best,but you know knew gen ain't that bad,it's sort of got a feeling of original series,but just a little bit and it's much more fun then the last gen that bored me to death

but everyone's got right to their own opinion and I can see why you don't like new gen

@Terrorj1501 his voice first changed in 4th gen,not in 3rd thats first and 2nd he still has the same personality,but of course I'm guessing you're watching the dub,so no suprise there

@MorikoXNaruto you think that sad if you've seen third gen you may have noticed he got a new voice and in 4th it changes again aswell as his personality he becomes a noob again...... seriously he lost to a beginner who only JUST got his pokemon WITH PIKACHU!!!

@Terrorj1501 i actually looked this up not long after i wrote that comment and Misty isn't ten she is 13. she is the oldest girl that ever travels with ash. I found that on a site all about Pokemon. but the other girls are ten. I guess we won't ever know for sure how old she is though cause other places say she is ten. though i don't think a ten year old would end up being a gym leader.
